Named after the German indologist Max Mueller, the Max Mueller Bhavan in Bangalore is a branch of the Goethe-Institute, a non-profit organization of Germany. Its mission is to promote international cultural cooperation by organizing a variety of events to present German culture.
Max Mueller Bhavan conducts German language courses, workshops, exhibitions and a host of other activities intended to enhance the cultural cooperation between the two nations. The information center is a resource center for those interested in contemporary Germany and for those interested in teaching and studying German as a foreign language.
