Mathakuar Shrine is a delightful shrine located near the
Nirvana Stupa, in
Kushinagar,
Uttar Pradesh. It is the place where Lord Buddha had given his last sermon. The temple enshrines a beautiful statue made out of black stone which depicts
Buddha seated under the ‘Bodhi Tree’ in a pose known as ‘Bhumi Sparsh Mudra’.
