Matanga Hill lies to the east of
Hampi. It offers a breathtaking view of the ruined city and the beautiful landscape below. The river
Tungabhadra flows through this hill. The rugged boulders around the hill offer tremendous rock climbing opportunities. The easy approach is up the steepest path from the Eastern end of
Hampi Bazaar.
