Masjid-E-Ala Mosque




Masjid-E-Ala Mosque or Jama Masjid Mosque is located in the ancient fortress city Srirangapatna, Karnataka. It is at the eastern end of the fortress made by emperor Tipu Sultan, adjacent to Bangalore Gate (entrance gate to the fortress). Masjid-E-Ala Mosque is cream colored, and has twin minarets. These were a gift from Tipu Sultan. These minarets have been depicted in many arts and were a favourite of the artists.
