Located near Kanakapura, Maribetta is a hillock ideal for trekking. The word mari means Durga and betta means hill. A temple of Goddess Durga is situated at one of its hilltops and hence the name Maribetta. The hill is full of majestic monolithic rocks. The top of the hill is accessible through a steep path covered with thorny plants.
