Mantalai




Mantalai is a scenic spot situated about 15 km from Pandu Bridge in Kullu District. It lies at an altitude of about 4,000 m, on the Pin Parvati Pass trek route. Mantalai lake, the source of River Parvati, is the prominent attraction. It offers panoramic views of the snow-covered mountains all around. The entire region is covered with pebbles, huge rocks and plain meadows. There is an open Shiva temple decorated with traditional prayer flags. Odi Thach, Manikaran, Mantalai Glacier, Pulga, Thakar Kuan, Tunda Bhuj and Khirganga are located nearby. Mantalai is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available.

Kullu Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest airport. Joginder Nagar Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
