Mannur




Mannur is a sacred hamlet in Kanchipuram District of Tamil Nadu. It lies on the Poonamallee-Perumbakkam Road and is about 18 km from Poonamalee and 40 km from Chennai.

Lord Uma Maheswarar Temple is the main attraction here. The village is also said to have 63 ponds dedicated to the 63 Nayanars (Shaiva saints). Two ponds are on the southern and northern side of this historic temple.

Kalsar College of Engineering is another landmark here.

The nearest railway station is Avadi Railway station.
