Mankhanda is a small village in South 24 Parganas District, about 43 km from Howrah. Sarisha is 4 km to the east.

Nearby attraction is Diamond Harbour - a popular picnic spot by the side of the Hooghly. One can also view the ruined fort and the old lighthouse at Diamond Harbour.
