Manjarabad




Manjarabad is a large village located at 4 km from Donigal in Hassan District. This place is associated with Tipu Sultan, the ruler of Mysore.

Major point of attraction at Manjarabad is a fort which is believed to have been erected by Tipu Sultan. This fort, Manjarabad Fort, was raised in 1752 and draws a large number of visitors. Manjarabad is also famous as the starting point for the green route. This is an ideal destination for shopping handicraft items. Trekking facilites are available nearby.

By road, Bangalore is within 230 km from here. Donigal Railway station is the nearest railhead (5 km).
