Manikpur lies near the Uttar Pradesh – Madhya Pradesh border, about 85 km south-west of Allahabad, in Chitrakut District. It is 89 km south-east of Banda and around 24 km from Karwi.

Chitrakut, Gupt Godavari Caves, Hanuman Dhara and Sati Anusuya are holy sites around, worth paying a visit.

Varanasi Airport serves Manikpur. Manikpur Junction Railway Station is on the Allahabad – Satna rail line.
