Mani-naga Temple




Mani-naga Temple, built around the 6th century, falls among the Gupta group of temples. It is situated at Rajgir, which is 10 km south of Nalanda. The temple is a cylindrical brick-structure with shallow offsets at the four cardinal points. The walls of the temple are decorated with niches and sculptors of various divinities such as Ganesh, Vishnu and Nagas.

Nearest airport is at Patna and nearest railhead is at Gaya. From Gaya Gandhi Maidan Bus Station, State Transport Corporation operates services to Nalanda and Gaya via Mani-naga Temple.
