Mangshor Jhol is a simple non vegetarian dish of the Bengalis. A spicy dish of mutton or chicken cooked with potatoes, onions, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, curry powder and spices, it goes well with plain rice and vegetable fried rice.
Meat is marinated in yogurt before cooking. Caramelized sugar as in other Bengali recipes is used in this recipe also.
