Mangrol




Mangrol is a coastal town situated in the Junagadh District of Gujarat. It is famous for Kesar Mangoes and coconut. There is an ashram like educational institute, where students are taught and trained on the principle of self-help, with emphasis on agriculture and animal-husbandry.

Mangrol has a very pleasant climate. Cotton, groundnut, bajra, gram, wheat and jowar are some of the major crops. Damodar Kund, Ashoka's Rock Edicts and Ahmedpur Mandvi Beach are the nearby tourist destinations.

Porbandar Airport is the nearest airport. Junagadh Junction Railway Station, on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad rail route of the Western Railways, is the closest railhead.
