Mangoli Valley, also known as Ghatgar, is about 23 km away from
Nainital. Beginning from the main road, this beautiful place extends deep into the hills. This forested area with rolling green hills, serves as the home for hundreds of species of Himalayan birds. It is the best suited place for bird watching and one can also enjoy walking through the forest. There are regular bus services from Nainital to the valley at fixed timings.
