Mangalwar Peth (also Astapura) is a big business area situated in
Pune city,
Maharashtra. Earlier it was known as Shaistepura.
Shaiste Khan, who came to Pune with an intention to defeat Chhatrapati Shivaji, stayed here during 1662. Some of the famous places are Ganapati Temple and Omkareshwar Mandir. The famous Kamala Nehru Hospital is located in this area.
