Mangalam

Mangalam is a small village located midway between Vadakkancheri and Alathur, in Palakkad District. It lies on the National Highway 47, about 30 km south-west of Palakkad and just 5 km from Vadakkancheri.

Peechi Dam, Peechi-Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary and the nearby Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary, and Velimala Hill are some of the tourist spots nearby.

Cochin International Airport and C A Coimbatore Airport serve Mangalam. Palakkad Junction Railway Station and Kollengode Railway Station are the closest broad gauge and meter gauge railway stations respectively.
