Mane




Mane is a small hamlet situated near Poh in Lahaul and Spiti District, Himachal Pradesh. It lies at an altitude of 3,700 m in Spiti Valley. Rivers Spiti and Pin flow close by. The village is covered with green fields. Mane offers panoramic view of Tabo and Kaza valleys on either side. Mane Monastery is the prime attraction here. It has some ancient paintings and statues of Avalokitesvara and Sakyamuni (Gautama Buddha). The Tsheshu Fair is held here. Tabo Monastery, Poh, Lalung, Dhankar, Kurith, Sichling, Gunsarang Pass and Lingti are nearby tourist destinations. Kullu Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest airport. The nearest railway stations are Shimla Railway Station and Joginder Nagar Railway Station.
