Mandrem

Mandrem is a fishing and toddy tapping village in North Goa District of Goa. The place is renowned for its deserted beaches with little shade. On its northern part, there is a small sandy island fringed with palm trees. Mandrem is about 7 km south of Arambol, a secluded place located 50 km from Panaji.

The main attractions of this place are Shirr Purchevo Ravalnatha Temple, Ashvem Beach and Junas Beach. Sharat Arora, a yoga center situated here, teaches Iyengar Yoga during season. Excellent accommodation can be made at the Dunes Holiday Village, a beach resort.

Morjim, Pernem, Chopdem and Arambol are excellent excursion places outside the village. Nearest airport is Goa Airport. The site is easily approachable by bus from Panaji. Pernem Railway Station on the Ratnagiri-Margao rail route serves the village.
