Mandiramalai Subramanyar Temple




Subramanyar Temple is an ancient Muruga shrine located at Mandiramalai near Udumalaippettai in Coimbatore District. It is a hillock temple which can be accessed by road and a flight of steps. The principal deity here is Mantrachala Perumaan (Subramanyar) along with his consorts Valli and Deivayanai. There are separate shrines for Ganesh, Shiva, Parvati and Vishnu. Saint Arunagirinathar has glorified the temple through his Tiruppukazh. The teerthams are Idumban Sunai, Darbai sunai and Teertha sunai. The main festival celebrated is in the Tamil month of Thai (mid January - mid February). Perumaal malai Vishnu temple is located nearby.
