Mandir Bazar of South 24 Parganas District is a sleepy little village located about 15 km south-east of Diamond Harbour. Magra Hat is to its north. The village is known for its traditional leather craftsmen.
Some points of tourist interest in the neighborhood include Kulpi, Jaynagar and Sharisha Ramkrishna Mission Ashram – a popular spot for pilgrims.
