Mandar Hill, 1500 ft high, is located in Banka District
. It is 48 km south of Bhagalpur
and 3 km north of Baunsi.
This hill is believed to have been used as Churner by Gods during Samudra-Manthan.
The major attraction is a Digambar Jain temple, which is at the top of the hill. Another highlight is Paapharani, a sacred pond which is believed to relieve one from all sins. A major draw is fifteen day long Makar Sankranti mela.

Mandar Hill can be approached from Mandar Hill Railway Station, which is 5 km away. Buses are also available to reach here.
