Mandaka La




Mandaka La is a serene, sedate and unspoiled village situated 2 km from Nagarfort in Tonk District, Rajasthan. This charming hamlet, also called as Mini Pushkar of Rajasthan, is blessed with numerous trees, extensive green lands and ponds. This place is believed to be the place of penance (Tapobhumi) of Rishi Mandav and hence the name Mandakala. People from nearby places throng for the annual animal fair conducted in the Kartik Poornima. This village mainly revolves round the nucleus of the famous Muchkundeshwar Mahadev temple, built by King Muchkand.
