Mandagupattu




Mandagupattu is about 50 km from Pondicherry Town, in Pondicherry District. The place is famous for being the first Pallava cave temple, called Lakshitayatana, dedicated to the Hindu Trimurti - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The temple was constructed during the rule of Pallava King Mahendra Varaman I.
