Malotha is located in the eastern part of Kangra District. It is around 20 km north-east of Baijnath. Palampur, a prominent hill station, is around 25 km west of Malotha.

Joginder Nagar Railway Station and Baijnath Paprola Railway Station are the nearest railheads. The nearest airport is Kullu Manali Airport.
