Malam is a small hilly village near
Manarcad in
Kottayam District and is around 15 km from
Kottayam town. It is a picturesque village adorned with paddy fields and rubber plantations.
The prime attraction of the place is the famous St Mary’s Church. A Bhagavathy Temple at Kavumpadi, near Manarcad, is on the way to Malam. The village also holds a college, St Mary's College, run by the Church. Manarcad Perunal is the most important festival celebrated here.
The village is situated on the way to Ayarkunnam and is 3 km from Manarcad Junction.
