Majnan is in Hooghly District of West Bengal, about 6 km south of Bhastara. Dhaniakhali, a place famous for Dhaniakhali sarees and dhotis, is located 5 km to the west. Bilsara, 11 km to the north; Baikunthapur, 6 km to the east and Kanajol, 4 km to the south are some of the towns in the neighborhood.

From Majnan, popular pilgrim spots such as Brindabanchandra Temple, Chaitanyadev Temple, Krishna Chandra Temple, Ramachandra Temple, Bandel Church, Tarakeshwar Temple and Nandadulal Mandir can be visited.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and Kamarkundu Railway Station serve this town.
