Mainpurkhurd is located in Raipur District of Chhattisgarh. It is around 50 km north-west of Deobhog.

It lies on the road connecting Bindra Nawagarh with Deobhog. Sitanadi Wildlife Sanctuary is a tourist attraction in the region. Nagri, a major town in Dhamtari District, is 30 km west of Mainpurkhurd.
