Mahudi



Mahudi is a major pilgrim center of Jains and Khadayata Banias, situated on the banks of Sabarmati River, in Gujarat. Mahudi's Kotyark Sun temple is very famous. It is renowned for the Jain temple dedicated to Vir Ghantakarna. It is believed that Jain Muni Buddhisagarji observed a long penance here and had inspired the construction of the temple.

The nearest airport is at Ahmedabad. The closest railway station is at Mehsana (35 km).
