Mahishasur Mardini Temple




Constructed during 1990, Mahishasur Mardini Temple is a beautiful, modern temple made of red stone from Dholpuri, Rajasthan. The entire structure is so attractive that the visitors remain spellbound. The temple houses a very attractive deity of Mother Durga, which is about 9 ft tall and is made of Ashth-dhatu (an alloy of gold, silver, copper, brass, tin, lead, iron and bell metal). This temple holds a special status amongst the modern temples.

Mahishasur Mardini Temple is in the district of Haridwar which is well connected by road and rail with other towns in North India. Haridwar is 199 km from Delhi, 365 km from Agra and 475 km from Lucknow.
