Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park




Mahaveer Harina Vanasthali National Park is located in Vanasthalipuram, about 15 km from Hyderabad. Established in 1977, this deer park is famous for Black Buck, the state animal of Andhra Pradesh.

In addition, antelope, monitor lizards, mongooses, porcupines, hares and a variety of snakes are also found. Avian fauna of the park includes partridges, quails, peacocks, doves and birds of prey such as kites and vultures. Various migratory birds can also be seen.

The park is opened from 09:00 to 17:30 hrs, except on Mondays.
