Mahavan is a small pilgrim town located 11 km from
Mathura, on the left bank of
Yamuna, in
Uttar Pradesh. The city is closely associated with
Lord Krishna, who is thought to have spent his childhood here.
Places of interest include Mathura Nathji Temple, Chaurasi Khamba, Shyamlalji Temple, Yogmaya Temple, Tranairatri Temple, Mahamall Raiji's Palace and Chathi Palana Temple.
