Mahatma Gandhi Museum is an educational museum situated at
Mangalore, the headquarters of
Dakshina Kannada District,
Karnataka. Established in 1930, the museum showcases various specimens of art and crafts, sculptures, skeletons, skull, ancient coins, old manuscripts, paintings, stone, crafts and archaeological objects.
Mahatma Gandhi Museum has separate sections dedicated to zoology and anthropology. Informative lectures and film shows are conducted occasionally. Guide services are offered to the visitors on request.
The museum is open from 09:30 to 12:30 and 02:00 to 17:30 hrs on all days except Sundays and public holidays.
