Mahathobhara Sri Siddhivinayaka Temple




Mahathobhara Sri Siddhivinayaka Temple is situated at Udyavara about 3 km from Udupi. It is an eighteenth century temple facing the eastern side. The main deity of the temple is Lord Ganesh.

A square-shaped pond is situated in the front portion of the temple. The flagstaff, Mukhamantapa (portico), Pradhana Balipeetha (chief sacrificial altar, Theerthamantapa and Chaturasra Garbhagudi (sanctum sanctorum) are worth seeing.

Every year, a festival called Maha Rathothsava is celebrated for 12 days starting from the first day of the month Kumbha. The unique pooja made on the Margashira Shuddha Chowthi day is called the Doni Panchakajjaya.
