Established in 1995 and run by the Maharishi Markandeshwar Education trust, Maharishi Markandeshwar Engineering College (MMEC) is affiliated to Kurukshetra University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Govt. of Haryana. The college offers 4 year full-time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electric, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Electronics and Instrumentation, and Mechanical Engineering. Admissions are as per the rules and regulations of the Govt. of Haryana. MMEC is equipped with all the basic infrastructures.
The college is situated among lush green fields of paddy, wheat and sunflower, in the countryside town of Mullana, 22 km from Ambala. Barara Railway Station is just 3 km from the campus.
