Mahakuta, also known as Dakshina Kashi, is renowned for the Chalukyan shrines devoted to
Lord Shiva. It is around 14 km from
Badami in
Karnataka.
The group of temples, Mahakuteshwara Temples, is the major attraction. A natural spring pond called Vishnu Pushkarni is also here.
