Mahadev temple




Mahadev Temple is situated in Tama, a village 8 km from Khalilabad, in Uttar Pradesh.

The presiding deity is Tameshwar Nath. As per folklore, the idol of this temple suddenly appeared in the forest, near Tama. Formerly, the idol stood in the open and now it is enshrined in a temple, erected by one of the Bansi kings.

A fair is celebrated during Shivratri, and a large number of devotees visit here on this occasion.
