Magadi is a historic place located about 45 km from
Bangalore. Main attractions are the temples and an old fort. Someshwar temple, built in Indo-Saracenic style, which bears the figures of men, women, and animals, is a major attraction. The Ranganathaswamy temple with well laid out steps and an open rectangular tank is also worth visiting.
