Maem




Maem, also spelt Mayem, is in the western region of Bicholim taluk, in North Goa District. Bicholim, the taluk headquarters, is nearly 7 km north. The state capital Panaji is 35 km away.

Maem is famed for the Mayem Lake - an artificial lake located amid green hills. This picturesque place with lush green forest is an ideal destination for bird watchers. Boating facility is available. Shri Saptakoteshwar Temple is a nearby prominent shrine.
