Madurai Palankanathan Bus Station is located 5 km from Madurai. It is in the south-west part of the city. The station serves the cities in south Tamil Nadu and south Kerala such as Kanyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram. There is a bus shelter, which is shared by both local and long distance operators.
