Madkai (also Marcaim) in South Goa District is the third Industrial Estate developed in Ponda. Madkai is about 28 km from Panaji, the capital city of Goa.
The 500 years old Shri Navdurga Temple is the prime attraction. The annual Jatra (procession), held at the temple in the month of Kartika (November) from Vidya Chaturthi to Dashami, attracts thousands of people from far and near.
