Madhai Tala




Madhai Tala is a holy place located in Bardhaman District and is near Katwa. It is also known as Ghosahata.

The place holds the samadhi of Madhai who was one of the disciples of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. There is an ashram where Jagai and Madhai, disciples of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, are said to have visited. Nitai-Gaura temple, which dates back to about 200 years, is a major attraction. Mahaprabhu temple is located 2 km north.

Nearest railhead is at Katwa.
