Madarazaye Mohammadiya Masjid




Built in 1750, Madarazaye Mohammadiya Masjid at Vellore is an important monument of attraction. The entrance of the Masjid is on the northern side. The Masjid is constructed with brick and lime. Pillars are erected in two lines, and each row has four pillars. For performing Namaz, a large prayer hall is constructed on the western side. It is about fifteen feet in breadth and forty feet in length. A platform is there for the Imam to perform the worship. At the centre of the mosque there is a big dome and on the sides minars are constructed.
