Machindragad Fort

Machindragad Fort is one among the numerous forts in Maharashtra. The fort can be entered through a doorway carved in black stone on the southern part. There is a water reservoir as well as some caves on the eastern side. Rock inscriptions in the Brahmi script are found there. Three springs are seen in front of the larger cave, which is at the center of the peak. The Samadhi of Gorakshnath is on the top. The fort can be reached from Dehri (village at the foot hills).
