Luke Memorial Eye Hospital is situated at
Perumbavoor in
Ernakulam District. It was established in 1986 as a charitable hospital in association with the society of St Vincent De Paul Netherlands and the Sight Savers (Royal Common Wealth Society for the Blind) U.K.
The hospital aims at providing comprehensive quality eye care of international standard to patients irrespective of their economic standard. It also conducts free eye camps, satellite clinics and awareness camps all over Kerala.
Infrastructural facilities include A/B Ultra Sonographic Scan, Auto Refracto Meters, Argon Laser Coherent and Yag Laser Coherent. The optical shop in the premises has wide range of Indian and imported frames, sunglasses and safety eye wear.
Luke Memorial Eye Hospital is located around 30 km from Kochi, on the way to Munnar.
