Lower Lake, also called Chhota Talab, is a small lake situated towards the eastern end of
Upper Lake in
Bihar. The lake was built in 1794 by Nawab Chhote Khan, minister of Nawab Hayath Mohammed Khan. Lower Lake, surrounded by built up areas, has a smaller catchment area of 9.60 sq km and water spread area of 1.29 sq km. The flow of the Lower Lake is limited within the city area.
Bhopal Airport is the closest airport. Bhopal Railway Station, on Delhi-Chennai main line, has train services to Mumbai and Delhi.
