The village has a government school which provides education only up to class V. Healthcare facilities are available only at the government hospital situated at Jaisalmer.

Water scarcity and transportation are some of the major crises faced by the villagers. Majority of the villagers are illiterate.

There is no proper road, but the village is not too far from the main road which connects Jaisalmer with Sam Sand Dunes, an important tourist spot.

The nearest railhead and airport are Jaisalmer Railway Station and Jaisalmer Airport.
