Liyai




Situated on a mountain top, Liyai is a scenic village in the north-eastern part of Senapati District. It is the largest village in the Manipur hills of North East India. This village is home to around 600 families of Poumai tribe, with a population touching 14,000. The place has many stone monoliths and water pools.

Liyai, 135 km from Imphal, borders with Phek District of Nagaland. It is connected with Imphal by bus service.
