Situated in the
Baspa Valley, Litham is about 15 km from Dondyo in
Kinnaur District,
Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by dense forests, the village offers excellent views of snow-capped peaks and deep valleys all around.
Pabbar River, a tributary of the
Tons River, flows through the village.
Gonas Pass (16,000 ft), a waterfall and some glaciers are the prime attractions here.
Karchham, Batawa Thaatch,
Gokul,
Buran Pass, Balcha Meadows, Chanshil Pass, Jhanglik,
Dhamwari and Soroden are nearby tourist destinations. Litham is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available.
The nearest
railway station and
airport are at
Shimla. Litham can be accessed from
Sangla.
