Lions NAB Eye Hospital



Lions NAB Eye Hospital, run by Lions Comprehensive Eye Care Foundation, is strategically situated in Miraj, a small town on the border of southern Maharashtra and northern Karnataka states. It aims at providing eye care to rural patients either free or at a reasonable rate.

Phaco or sutureless surgery and oculoplastic surgery are the major treatments carried out. Among the facilities are vitreo retinal centre, eye bank, special rooms and glaucoma clinic.

As a part of education and training, the hospital conducts medical education program, microsurgery training and workshops for ophthalmologists. Prominent of these are the Phaco Training program, Ophthalmic Nursing Course and IOL Training program.

The hospital is situated 7 km from Miraj and 14 km from Sangli city. Bus services are available from Miraj. Nearest railhead is Miraj Junction Railway Station.
