Lingti Plains

Lingti Plains are a tract of desolate and barren land perched at an altitude of 4,400 m in Lahaul and Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh. It spreads over an area of 260 sq km and lies to the north of the Baralacha Pass.

The Lingti and Yunam rivers traverse these plains before entering the Zanskar Valley of Leh District. The Lingti Plains are largely uncultivated and is sparse in settlements. Stocks of migratory grazers are seen here in the summer, grazing in the thick grass covered slopes.
